Safety Cell
Overview
Safety section provides the vital safety support across wide spectrum of existing and proposed new areas of R&D; activities in IICT and it is capable of offering technical consultancy services and customised training of technicians and engineers in the area of safety management.
It has the facilities for testing, servicing and maintenance of dry chemical powder fire extinguishers, and safety section is involved in installation and commissioning of state of the art of fire protection (i.e. design, tender preparation, execution, installation, and commissioning) in the new or upcoming buildings for R&D; activities.
The safety section look after the establishment and maintenance of fire protection (including smoke detection with MCP (conventional and autodialing addressable smoke detection system), first aid fire extinguishers, fire sand buckets and modular fire extinguishers) and also management of biomedical waste, fire fighting training, first aid, emergency showers & eyewashes and provide the specific requirement of R&D; activities of IICT.
