Dr. Anthony Addlagatta obtained his bachelors degree with specialisation in industrial
chemistry from

. He worked as a senior scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory,
USA
before joining IICT.
As a postdoctoral fellow he pursued his research in the area of protein crystallography with Prof.
Mariusz Jaskolski (Polish
Academy
of
Sciences
,
Poznan
,
Poland
), Dr. William L. Duax (Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute,
Buffalo
,
NY
) and Prof. Brian Matthews (Howard Hughes Medical Institute,
University
of
Oregon
,
Eugene, OR
). His work was focused on structural biology of drug targets and structure based
drug discovery. He was awarded with Mianowski international fellowship from the
Polish
Academy
of Sciences,
Poland
and Ramanujan Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology,
New Delhi
. He has published 32 research articles and a book chapter.
His current research interests include biochemical and structural characterization
of drug target proteins, structure based drug discovery and protein engineering.
