M. Sc (Chemistry) from Osmania University at Hyderabad in 1985.

Ph.D (Organic Chemistry) from Osmania University at Hyderabad in 1992.


After obtaining PhD, did post doctoral work first at ICSN, Paris and then SRI International in USA. After that spent a few years in biomaterials industry in US and returned to India and has been working as scientist at CSIR_IICT since 1998.

Research Interests

Present Research

Presently working on fluoropolymers for different applications. Other interests are photopolymers and materials for biomedical applications.

Past Research

Had an opportunity to work on widely different projects like cyanate ester based carbon composites for aerospace applications, in situ curable biocompatible materials for tissue sealant applications, drug delivery from PEG based hydrogels, value added derivatives of guar gum, protein-polysaccharide conjugates for vaccines etc.
