SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR SCHEDULED TRIBE
Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, which is an autonomous body under the Government of India.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals in prescribed proforma for the following post reserved for ST:

Job requirements:
i. To take up synthesis of pheromone components on a bench/pilot plant scale.
ii. To assist in the preparation of pheromone formulations and subsequent field trials.
iii. To regularly carry out instrumentation analysis using HPLC, GC, etc.
Desirable
i. Able to carry out literature search independently.
ii. Knowledge in operating HPLC & GC instruments.
iii. Experience in pilot plant scale up experiments.
Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of DA, HRA, CCA & Transport Allowance: Rs.11,729/- approx.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. The application has to be submitted in prescribed proforma issued by IICT available on IICT website which can be downloaded from www.iictindia.org or it can be obtained from the “Recruitment Section, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad 500 007”, by sending a request alongwith a self-addressed envelope of the size of 23x11 cms affixed with postage stamps of Rs.10/- on or before 10.10.2005.
2. The number of vacancies indicated against each category is provisional and may vary at the time of selection.
3. Candidates selected for the Council Service would be governed by the revised CCS (Pension) Scheme of Govt. of India, as made applicable w.e.f. 01.01.2004.
4. Only such of those candidates who in the opinion of the Institute, suit the Institutional requirements, will be called for interview. Advertisement of a post and/or mere fulfilment of minimum prescribed qualifications, etc. will not vest any right in any candidate for being considered for the post and/or called for interview. The Director reserves the right to fill up or even stall the whole process.
5. The upper age limit will be reckoned as on 17.10.2005. Relaxation of upper age limit for Physically
Challenged and Ex-servicemen both belonging to ST category will be applicable as per rules.
6. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts and organise a written test or seminar if considered necessary for short-listing the candidates to be called for interview.
7. The period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work wherever prescribed shall be counted w.e.f. the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum educational qualifications required for that grade.
8. Deserving candidates may be considered for higher start of pay.
9. The positions carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of the same pay and status stationed at Hyderabad.
10. Candidates called for examination/interview will be paid single second class rail fare including reservation to and fro by the shortest route from the place of residence/actual departing station whichever is nearer to Secunderabad/ Hyderabad.
11. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during the period of 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 subject to production of a certificate from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided OR from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of J & K State to the effect that he/she had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.
12. Relaxation in age, qualification and/or experience may be permitted by DG, CSIR at any stage of selection, if the Director of the Laboratory/Institute based on the recommendation of Screening Committee is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisite qualification and/or experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts.
13. Completed applications in all respects, supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, experience certificates, community certificate (in the case of ST) along with one recent passport size signed photo affixed, together may be sent in an envelope superscribing “Application for the post of ………..” to the Recruitment Section, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad 500 007 so as to reach on or before 17.10.2005. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.
14. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders, if selected. However, advance copy of the application may be submitted before the closing date. Applications routed through proper channel should reach this Institute at the earliest.
15. Candidates should specifically note that the applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) will not be entertained by this Institute. Any enclosure received separately subsequent to the receipt of the application cannot be connected therewith. No representation in this regard will be entertained.
16. Incomplete application in any respect, application in the application form not issued by IICT, applications not filled up by the candidate in his own handwriting and application without the signature of the candidate etc. will be summarily rejected.
17. Mere fulfillment of essential educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for examination/interview.
18. As the Screening of applications will be done on the basis of information furnished by the applicants, it is necessary that only accurate, full and correct information is furnished by the applicants. Furnishing of wrong/false information will be a disqualification and IICT will NOT be responsible for any of the consequences of furnishing such wrong/false information.
19. Canvassing in any form or bringing in of any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
20. The decision of the IICT/CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination/interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her agency.
