ENGINEERING SERVICE DIVISION

Preamble:

Engineering Service Division provides vital Engineering services support across wide spectrum of R&D activities of IICT. Besides, the division is capable of offering technical consultancy, testing and customized training of technicians, supervisors and engineers.

Engineering Services Division is organized into several units viz, Machine shop, Fabrication and Foundry Unit, Carpentry and pattern making, Steam and water services, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Electrical Engineering and meet specifies requirements of R&D activities of IICT.

Services Offered:

The division is equipped with basic CENTRAL WORKSHOP facilities for sheet metal fabrication, metal casting, metal joining, metal cutting, woodworking ,electrical , air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance. It also looks after dry saturated & superheated stream requirements from 5-30kg/cm*cm of the institute through operation of coal fired, oil fired and electrode boilers. It holds specific expertise in the following fields.

	Errection,commissioning, operation and maintenance of chemical engineering pilot plants.
	steam piping & distribution system to various process equipment
	consultancy in the field of refrigiration and air conditioning
	Design and Development of chemical laboratory fume hoods and work benches.
	Certification of lifting equipment and pressure plants
	Weld ability of materials and certification of welding electrodes.
	Training and certification of welders as per IS:7318(Part I)
	Tailor made courses for skill development technicians, supervisors, and engineers in workshop practices.
