Analytical Chemistry Division has earned about Rs.10 crores as analytical fees during the last 10 years. It has completed 20 consultancy and sponsored projects worth Rs.4 crores  during this period. It has organized about 15 international/national training courses to different agencies during the last 10 years. The Division has contributed to basic and applied  research and published over 250 papers and 12 Ph.Ds. were awarded. Some of the scientists of the  Division are in the professional and technical committees. It has been participating in Proficiency Tests conducted by the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Netherlands and Indian Reference Materials Programmes. National Centre for Mass Spectrometry was established with the addition of LC-MS and MALDI-MS instruments.
