The Library remains open from 0800hrs to 2100hrs on all working days(Monday to Friday) and from 9.30 - 17.00 hrs on all Saturday & Holidays. All Sundays and National holidays of every year Library remains Closed for its users.
A reader, using the library, shall enter his/her name legibly in the register kept at the entrance gate
Private belongings shall be kept outside the library.
ˇ Silence should be observed in the library. Using mobile/cellular phone inside the library is not permitted.
ˇ Smoking, spitting & sleeping are strictly prohibited in the library.
ˇ The readers shall be responsible for any damage or mutation done to the books and periodicals of the library and shall be required to replace such publications or to pay the value there of.
ˇ After consultation, the reader shall leave the publications on the table & shall not replace the publications back on the shelves.
Regular staff members and research scholars of the Institute can borrow three books only at a time for a period of two weeks. Books of special demand are lent out only for a shorter period.
Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Directories and other Reference books shall not be lent out.
ˇ Current periodicals are issued for overnight loan only to the staff members and research scholars of the Institute. A reader can take not more than one periodical at a time.
ˇ Before leaving the library, the reader shall satisfy as to whether the book issued to him/her is in sound condition. If not, he/she shall forthwith bring the matter to the notice of library-in-charge/staff, otherwise the reader is liable to be held responsible for condition of the book.
ˇ Readers are strictly prohibited to sub-lend the books.
ˇ Loan of books may be renewed for a further period of one fortnight provided:
(i) Demand for the publication is not received.
(ii) Renewal does not exceed three consecutive fortnights.
ˇ Staff members may suggest books for consideration for inclusion in the library. Suggestions shall pertain to the R& D work of their projects/area.
ˇ Any infringement of the rules shall render the reader to forfeit the privilege of admission to the library and to borrow books from the library.
Facility of membership for Industrial users is allowed on payment basis depending on the type of Industry.
MEMBERSHIP FOR USERS OTHER THAN INSTITUTE STAFF MEMBERS
Library has a collection mainly on Chemical, Biological and Engineering Sciences comprising of mainly Journals, encyclopedias, monographs, e journals and data bases.
Research scholars from Indian Universities registered for Ph.D can browse the Library resources free of charge by taking necessary approval and membership from the competent authority.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
Industrial users can avail the Library facility by taking a prior approval of the Director, IICT and on payment of the Library fee as mentioned below.
ˇ Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only ) per annum for small scale Industries.
ˇ Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only ) per annum for others i.e.bigger than Small scale Industries.
ˇ An additional membership card will be issued on payment of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees five thousand only) per annum.
ˇ Only one person shall be allowed on one membership card.
The amount has to be deposited in the form of Demand draft drawn in favour of the Director , IICT and payable at Hyderabad.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
ˇ Industrial users are allowed access only for browsing the books and journals in print and are not entitled for loan facility of any documents.
ˇ Photocopying facility is available by paying 60 paise. per page except reference collections with out violating the copy right act.
ˇ Industrial users and Research Scholars are responsible for the safety of their membership card. Incase of loss of card Library in charge should be informed immediately.
ˇ Library reserves the right to cancel membership of any member who does not comply with the Library rules and regulations.
