 Pre Biotechnology Process Generator (PBPG):

PBPG is a facility set up in IICT campus, funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) at a cost of Rs. 2.10 Crores. PBPG facility has the state of the art facility for carrying out bench scale processes/product development studies for biotechnology products.  The facility would be made available to prospective tenants of BTIC/ outside parties for carrying out bench scale processes of biotechnology/ biotransformation developed on laboratory scale and would enable quick up scaling of technology by inventors who have limited scale-up facilities of their own.

PBPG facility at IICT is available for industry & entrepreneurs for development of biotechnology-based processes/ products on mutually agreed terms.

Biotechnology based processes/products that can be developed at PBPG:

i)   Enzymes  ii) Organic/ Chiral Intermediates  iii) Antibiotics  iv) Probioties  v) R-DNA
